"When my latest increase to my mortgage kicked in, I finally began paying attention to what I was paying for homeowners insurance (an exorbitant sum) with another well known insurance company. "This office showed a repeated pattern of unethical billing practices, lack of transparency, and poor disclosure. In addition to continued charges after I believed my policy had been fully canceled, I also experienced serious and unexplained premium fluctuations. My payments increased sharply, increased again, and later dropped — all without any clear or proactive explanation. I later learned that: • Key discounts were removed, • Accident-related surcharges were applied, and • Vehicle changes were used to justify additional increases — none of which were properly disclosed ahead of time. Even worse, I repeatedly requested that my address be updated, yet the office continued to rate and bill me using my previous address in a higher-risk ZIP code for an extended period. Only after multiple follow-ups was the address finally corrected. This directly affected my premium and led to unjustified overcharges. Between: • Continued charges after cancellation, • Repeated unexplained premium changes, • Delayed address corrections affecting my rate, and • Shifting explanations after the fact, this office demonstrated a serious lack of ethics, accountability, and customer protection. I strongly warn customers to: • Review every monthly bill line by line, • Never assume rates are correct, and • Never assume cancellations apply to all policies unless you receive explicit written proof."

After reviewing your account, we found that no formal request to cancel the policy in question was received, as noted in our most recent email correspondence on 12/3/25. Please also note that the policy would have lapsed if manual payments were discontinued. Regarding your address change, we discussed and resolved your concerns earlier this year. Your responses to our emails indicate that, after some initial confusion about the timing of the address update, you understood that all changes were made as requested, though billing adjustments can take some time to be reflected. We remain dedicated to clear communication and encourage you to reach out directly with any questions or concerns. If you would like to discuss your account further, please feel free to respond to Lindsay’s prior email so we can continue this conversation and assist you."
